How to Brew Loose Leaf Tea
ALL BREWING INSTRUCTIONS ON EACH TIN OF TÎMA TEA
Tea leaves need breathing room too! For a bolder flavor, tea leaves need room to unfurl and expand. This is why loose leaf leaves steeped in an open container like pictured produces the best tea. Tea bags constrict the tea, prohibiting the tea from breathing and releasing the full flavor!
Fun Fact: The tea bag was created in 1908 when Thomas Sullivan, a New York tea importer, sold his loose leaf tea to his customers in small silk bags. His customers mistakenly brewed the tea while in the silk packaging.
We are so excited to announce the start of our “Get Loose” campaign. With so many benefits to drinking loose leaf tea, we want to encourage you to “Step Out of the Bag” and try our loose leaf pesticide-free, and fair trade tea direct from Rwanda.
